Robert Kessinger, DC, DABCI, DACBN, is a board-certified chiropractic internist and board certified in clinical nutrition. He is an instructor in ACA’s Chiropractic Internist Board Certification program and a clinical neurology instructor with the ICA’s Upper Cervical Board Certification program. He is the 2022 recipient of the “Professional of the Year” award from the ACA Council on Nutrition and the 2022 recipient of the “Upper Cervical Doctor of the Year” award from the ICA’s Upper Cervical Council. Most recently, he was named Chiropractor of the Year by the Missouri Chiropractic Association. He maintains a chiropractic internist practice in Rolla, Miss.

What makes you an expert in this area?
I have a dual diplomate, DABCI and DACBN, I am a published author with multiple peer-reviewed medical indexed journals, I am a regular conference presenter, a primary teacher in the DABCI diplomate program, and I have 35 years clinical practice.
What is one takeaway from your presentation/topic that Engage 2024 attendees will not want to miss?
The presentation will be informative as well as inspirational for attendees who have not been exposed to a chiropractic internist practice. There will be clinical pearls for those versed in chiropractic internist or functional medicine models.
How will what attendees take away from your presentation make them a better doctor?

Being a part of a specialty council group gives me a sense of community and fellowship with like-minded professionals. It enriches my life and I have many lifelong friends from the DABCI and DACBN communities. It also gives me a great resource for referrals and interchange.
