Responsibilities: Leadership and Strategy:
Develop and implement strategic and operational plans for the Clinic that align with Logan University’s mission, vision, and strategic plan.
Provide visionary leadership and direction to faculty, staff, and administrators within the CoC Clinic Operations.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive culture that promotes academic excellence, innovation, and student success.
Develop and manage, in coordination with Clinic Council, all clinic-related strategic plans and goals. Foster collaboration between didactic and clinical faculty through the work of the Clinic Council to ensure student learning outcomes and Meta competencies are met. Serve as chair of the Clinic Council.
Maintain involvement with professional organizations as requested.
Clinic Operations and Compliance:
Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and related services, as well as all associated administrative operations and activities.
Establish and implement short and long-range organizational and financial performance goals, objectives, plans, policies and operating procedures; monitor and evaluate operational effectiveness and changes required for improvement.
Ensure clinical operations and patient care standards are compliant with HIPAA, Affordable Care Act (ACA) Section 1557 and FERPA policies, and all other applicable licensing and regulating agencies. Supervise, monitor, and coordinate clinic business operations to include risk evaluation and management, insurance compliance and reporting, legal considerations, OSHA requirements, patient records and documentation.
Responsible for the administration of clinic operations’ participation with Federal and State entitlement programs as appropriate, participation with third party payers and private indemnities, and management of information systems, financial policies, procedures, contracts and reporting in coordination with other University departments and personnel where appropriate.
Determine needs, prepare and manage the clinic operations budget, in coordination with the Dean of CoC.
Academic Success:
Assist with educational goals and methods of measurement, coordinating with all clinic areas and departments and DCP academic leadership.
Assist DCP leadership in development of Clinic Intern Handbook, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of information contained in the handbook.
Provide consultation and be a source of information to faculty, staff and student interns in areas of clinical, legal and ethical matters, while setting a standard of professionalism and excellence.
Encourage and support research projects in the University and clinics, case study papers and professional publication by faculty and students.
Participate in the development of, and help provide participation in, community and inter-professional relationships for the clinic.
Qualifications:
Education: A terminal degree in chiropractic (DC) or a related field is required. An advanced degree in education, administration, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: A history of progressive leadership experience in higher education in a clinical education setting. Staff supervision experience is required.
Licensure: A current DC license is required and licensure within the State of Missouri is required within 90 days of hire.
Skills and Competencies:
Ability to cultivate a culture of clinical excellence, accountability, and student engagement.
Ability to align clinical initiatives with institutional goals for patient care, student learning, and financial sustainability.
Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and team development skills across faculty, staff, students, and community partners.
Understanding of accreditation standards, competency-based clinical education, and regulatory compliance in healthcare environments.
Proficiency in using and implementing electronic health record systems (EHR).
Experience in data-driven decision-making for clinical and academic outcomes.
