Q&A with NCLC 2019 Presenters: Dr. Alan K. Sokoloff

ACA’s annual meeting, the National Chiropractic Leadership Conference, brings you cutting-edge, evidence-based education sessions featuring some of the chiropractic profession’s most respected thought leaders and content experts. Many sessions also offer continuing education credits. Here we pose questions to one of the presenters: Alan K. Sokoloff, DC—known to his patients as “Dr. Sok”—who is team chiropractor for the two-time Super Bowl-champion Baltimore Ravens.

Q: How is the topic that you are presenting relevant to modern chiropractic practice? How will it help chiropractors be successful now, and into the future?

There are many chiropractors at all levels wanting to get involved with athletes and sports.  Even the best “trained” doctors fall short of their ultimate goal of working with a team. The content of this workshop will not only help doctors get involved, but it will also show them how to stay involved (if they want).

Q: Are there any new developments in your specialty/topic area that make your presentation at NCLC 2019 especially relevant or timely?

More and more colleges and professional teams are looking for the chiropractor that best fits their program; and those things change all the time.

Q: Who should attend your presentation and why?

Anyone who is interested in working with athletes outside their office, as well as those who want to better their communication and networking skills from inside their office.

Q: What practical knowledge or skills can attendees expect to take away from your presentation?

You can expect to have a better understanding of the athletic training room at different levels (high school, college, professional). They are all different at every level and with every team.

Q: What was the best career advice you ever received?

Always be willing to learn…

Dr. Sokoloff’s presentation: “Successful Integration of Chiropractic in the Athletic Training Room” takes place on Friday, Jan. 18, 2019, at 10 a.m. ET. For more information about NCLC 2019 and a complete schedule of education programs, click here.
