This October during National Chiropractic Health Month (NCHM), chiropractors will encourage people to “Keep Moving!” and remind them that movement has benefits to both their physical and mental health.
Many people have learned the hard way over the past year that lack of movement and physical activity can lead not only to weight gain but also achy joints, back pain and other musculoskeletal conditions. In a 2020 survey, ACA members cited stress as another factor contributing to the increase in musculoskeletal problems among patients since the beginning of the pandemic. Making an effort to move our bodies more throughout the day can improve our physical health and stamina as well as our mental health by reducing stress and anxiety—helping us all to keep moving through challenging times.

Whatever you do, use the hashtag #KeepMoving when you post about it. ACA will repost NCHM-related content on its social media pages throughout October and we do not want to miss yours!
