Thursday, Jan. 26 News in Brief

Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill

Hundreds of ACA members spent today on Capitol Hill, meeting with members of Congress and their staff to share information, research and patient stories underscoring the need for increased access to chiropractic services. In all, almost 200 meetings were conducted.

These face-to-face encounters will provide an invaluable boost to ACA’s legislative activities in the weeks and months to come, as members and lobbyists follow up on leads and questions received during the meetings.

The ACA-PAC and Legislative Committee also met today at the Capitol Hill Club to review progress on key issues and discuss future action.

Advocacy Day ended with a reception at the hotel, providing an ideal opportunity for everyone to share their experiences, reflect on the challenges ahead and to catch up with friends and colleagues.

State Leaders and Executive Directors Meet

State chiropractic leaders and executive directors convened during Engage today for a meeting intended to foster more collaboration and information sharing across the profession. The group discussed key issues of importance to chiropractors nationwide. The meeting also featured representatives from ACA’s State Affiliate Program, which includes 13 participating state associations.
