Students SNEB National Vice Chair Application
Criteria
Eligibility Requirements:
- National positions of SACA Chair and Vice Chair shall be elected for the coming year during the 2024 SACA Elections. These newly elected national officers shall take office immediately after Engage.
- Any SACA member from the respective colleges may run for the office of National Chair or Vice Chair provided that: by the time of the election, the member (1) has been present for the entirety of a national college or business meeting (held at the National Chiropractic Leadership Conference or at the SACA Leadership Conference) or attended the ACA House of Delegates meeting, and (2) is currently serving or has served in the capacity of SACA executive board member at his or her respective college, or is currently or has served as a national SACA committee chair or vice chair.
- All SACA Delegates will vote on the national officers. The elections shall be governed by the election rules prescribed in the Rules of Procedure of the ACA Council of Delegates.
- To be eligible for the office of National SACA Chair and Vice Chair, the nominee must be able to fulfill his or her full term of the elected National Office position for which he holds petition. No more than one hundred and twenty days (120) days may pass after the nominee’s graduation to cessation of the term of that National Office position. The officer must maintain ACA membership during the one hundred and twenty days (120) days as a national officer.
- No national officer shall be eligible to serve more than one term in the same office.
- Qualification for the position of Immediate Past Chair shall be the completion of one term as SACA National Chair, in the term immediately preceding the beginning of the present term.
Position Duties & Responsibilities SACA National Chair:
- Presides at the ACA’s Engage, the ACA annual meeting, and the SACA Leadership Conference in the absence of or at the request of the National Chair.
- Assists the National Chair in their duties.
- Assumes other duties as the National Chair directs.
- Assures that chapter Presidents at their assigned liaison schools fulfill designated duties.
- Organizes all the planning for future meetings with the Chair.
- Monitors all established and ad-hoc SACA national committees.
National Vice Chair Application:
Application packet MUST include all the following and completed by December 20.
- Letter of Intent/Personal statement to run for National Office. Please indicate the position you are running for and limit to half a page.
- Letter of Recommendation from a faculty member on your campus.
- Resume/CV
- Goals and vision for SACA to include plans to help increase SACA membership and participation at the colleges.
- Q&A Worksheet – Please answer the questions below. Please limit responses to a max of 350 words per question.
