American Board of Chiropractic Specialties (ABCS)

ABCS assists ACA-recognized specialty councils and specialty certification boards in their effort to promote quality and efficiency in the process of evaluating and certifying doctors of chiropractic. ABCS coordinates, leads and collaborates with leadership of ACA specialty councils and specialty certification boards to ensure high-quality continuing education and professional development programming. ABCS works in collaboration with chiropractic specialty boards to maintain standards for chiropractor certification and ensure the highest quality of professional development and continuing education.

The ABCS Standards for Chiropractic Specialty Certification have been developed to serve the health, welfare, and safety of the public. These standards identify the essential elements of high-quality specialist programs in the chiropractic profession. ABCS standards are consistent with The Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing (AERA, APA, & NCME, 1999). ABCS recognition for Chiropractic Specialty Certification Agencies provides an impartial, third-party validation that the certification program has met recognized national and international credentialing industry standards for development, implementation, and maintenance of the credential.

The following board certifications and fellowship credentials have met the standards of ABCS and are recognized by the ABCS and ACA.
