Conference Policies

Inclement Weather Policy

ACA conferences (including SACA Leadership Conference) will be cancelled due to inclement weather or any other occurrence beyond the parties’ control (including, but not limited to, flood, fire or natural disaster) only if the venue and/or location of the event is closed or provides notice to ACA of its inability to hold the event, or if a local government-declared emergency status is in effect for the location of the event. If an ACA conference is cancelled due to inclement weather or other occurrence beyond the parties’ control as set forth herein, every attempt will be made to reschedule the event and your registration fee will be applied to the rescheduled event date. Any travel expenses that may have been incurred cannot be refunded under any circumstances. If the ACA event is held but weather conditions (whether forecasted or actualized) prohibit you from traveling, ACA cannot refund your registration fee.

Photo/Film Release

Please be advised that photographs and video will be taken at this event for use on ACA website, marketing materials and other Association publications. By registering for this event, you consent to the Association photographing, filming, and using your image and likeness.

  1. Who can attend the SACA Leadership Conference?
    Each SACA chapter will be able to submit six individuals to attend the event. Two names may also be submitted for the waitlist. Submitted individuals must be SACA members in good standing.
  2. When is the SACA Leadership Conference?
    The conference will be held September 23-25, 2022, in Portland, OR.
  3. Where is the conference hotel?
    Your conference registration includes two nights lodging at the Courtyard Portland City Center by Marriot Hotel — arriving on Friday, Sept 23 and departing Sunday, Sept 25. Do not contact the hotel directly to book your room. Your room will be booked by the ACA staff coordinator and your confirmation will be emailed to you.
    Attendees are responsible for their own travel to Portland, Oregon as well as transportation between airport and hotel.
  4. What is the deadline to register?
    The Early Bird registration ($155 per person) ends at 5:00 p.m. ET, Thursday, June 30, 2022. After this date, rates increase to $175. Registration closes completely after Wednesday, July 13.
  5. Will the schedule be posted online?
    Yes, information on conference sessions and speakers can be found online, so please check the website for updates.
  6. What is the refund and cancellation policy?
    Registration, cancellation and refund requests must be submitted by July 13, 2022, to be eligible for a refund and are subject to a cancellation fee. Requests received after this date will not be accepted. Refunds will be processed after the close of the conference. Please allow up to six (6) weeks to be issued.
