When ACA decided to make some transitions last year, we were determined that this process would go deeper than just a new logo design and some brighter website colors. Today, we are committed to “living our values” by putting patients at the center of all our decisions, using the best available evidence and by collaborating with other healthcare providers. Adhering to best practices and having a positive attitude are also paramount. To this end, we are launching a new learning system, called Learn ACA (www.learn.acatoday.org), that will make it easier for chiropractors to access top-quality online education and their required continuing education units (CEUs).
ACA has a large collection of online education programs, presented by some of the profession’s most knowledgeable subject matter experts and respected thought leaders. Topics range from business management, evidence-based practice, coding and documentation, and quality and safety, to diversity, nutrition, rehabilitation and more. Special programs available through Learn ACA include:
- New Doctor Toolkit, which caters to practitioners getting their practices off the ground
- Medicare Training for the Chiropractic Office, which provides training on proper documentation of chiropractic services for Medicare
- Theory-Driven and Evidence-Informed Chiropractic, which provides a six-hour survey on modern chiropractic and examines sections of theory-driven and evidence-informed chiropractic
- Verification of Benefits, which takes the viewer through steps of verifying benefits, including examples of what to look for and the questions to ask
Learn ACA makes accessing these evidence-based programs and keeping track of CEUs a smooth, seamless process. With a single secure login, you can access the content you want, pay fr it and earn any available credits – the system keeps a running tally of what you have completed.
There are other ways to earn CEUs, of course, such as face-to-face meetings, but anyone in practice knows that--as much as we would like to--sometimes it’s just impossible to shut down the office and take the time (and not to mention justify the expense) to travel across state or across country for a course. Online education has grown tremendously in recent years because it is efficient, convenient and more affordable. CE courses on Learn ACA, for example, will cost only $20 for ACA members and $40 for nonmembers.
ACA may not be the first in this industry to offer online education with CEUs, but we are the only national non-profit source in the chiropractic profession for these types of programs. Why does that matter? The ROI from a LearnACA online course extends much farther than just the CEU. The profits generated from our online education programs will get funneled back into important ACA programs and initiatives that support you, the chiropractic profession, and your patients.
See for yourself. Visit www.learn.acatoday.org and take a look around. Create an account (it’s easy) and start accessing our top-notch content that will help you to stay on top of new and cutting-edge information, earn the necessary education credits to maintain your license, and most of all meet the needs of the patients you serve.
