It’s October…National Chiropractic Health Month (NCHM) is here!

This year, NCHM focuses on how musculoskeletal (MSK) health leads to strengthstability and ultimately the success of a life lived more fully and actively. The 2019 campaign, “Strength. Stability. Success.”, offers the public steps to take toward bone, muscle and joint health, low back pain prevention, better posture, and improved balance.

  • If you are a member of the public, click here for health tips.
  • If you are a doctor of chiropractic, check out the NCHM 2019 toolkit at www.acatoday.org/NCHM for an array of resources to help you and your practice take part in this annual observance and raise public awareness of chiropractic care in your community.

Kick start the campaign by taking a few steps yourself:

  1. Announce that October is National Chiropractic Health Month on your social media channels. Post the NCHM logo (available in the toolkit) with this sample post/tweet:

October is National Chiropractic Health Month, hosted by @ACAtoday! The 2019 theme is Strength. Stability. Success., promoting #StepsToStrength for better musculoskeletal health. acatoday.org/NCHM

  2. Post one of the NCHM graphics, providing steps to take for better musculoskeletal health (example below) on your social media channels. Look for more–including several in Spanish–in the NCHM toolkit.

  1. Print out the NCHM patient handouts and make them available in your practice this month. You’ll find the one below, and more, in the NCHM toolkit.

  1. Use the sample press release and instructions to announce to local media that you are participating in the campaign. You can also post the release on your practice website. Click the link in the NCHM toolkit and follow the instructions.

Remember to hashtag any NCHM-related posts this month with #StepsToStrength so ACA can repost them or let us know if you’re doing something special for the observance this year by emailing communications@acatoday.org.
