On Wednesday, May 3 join the ACA and thousands of Americans in a national call-in campaign to stop S.1955.  A vote from the U.S. Senate on this potentially devastating bill is imminent.  We need your help.

On May 3, call the Senate Switchboard: 1-800-828-0498. Ask for your Senators’ offices, and then urge them to VOTE NO on S. 1955, the “Health Insurance Marketplace Modernization and Affordability Act.”

To make this day as successful as possible, we’re asking you to do the following:

1. Call your Senators on Wednesday, May 3: 1-800-828-0498
2. Send a note to your patients and colleagues letting them know about the planned call-in day and encourage them to become involved.
3. Download the leaflet from our website promoting the call-in day and distribute it widely between now and May 3.
4. Send an e-mail alert about the call-in day to your e-mail lists.
5. Send a press release to your local media outlets regarding the call-in day.  It is important that the media know about our grassroots efforts. Include information from the ACA web site such as ACA's talking points and a list of the more than 100 organizations opposed to this bill.

S.1955 would eliminate key health care benefits including screenings for breast, cervical, colorectal and prostate cancer, well-child care, maternity care, emergency services, mental health parity, diabetes supplies and chiropractic care.

Americans have too much to lose if S.1955 is enacted. JOIN US ON MAY 3!
