STUDENTS
Chapter Position Descriptions
President
- Reports to the National Chair.
- Assures that all chapter officers fulfill their designated duties.
- Responsible for the actions of the other chapter officers.
- Responsible for coordinating all chapter events and activities including, but not limited to: SACA Day events (in conjunction with Scrip), national speakers, special campus events, and FCER Day.
- Coordinate efforts to convert graduating SACA members to full ACA members.
- Participates in national SACA conference calls as scheduled.
- Coordinates chapter participation in the SACA National Business Meetings (at NCLC and HOD meetings).
- Attends national meetings and represent your chapter as the Head Delegate.
- Reports chapter officer changes to the National Chair and ACA staff immediately upon transition of the office.
- Performs additional duties requested by National SACA Officers.
- Coordinate chapter’s monthly chapter report.
- Promote SACA memberships to fellow students.
- Maintain a professional relationship between the chapter and the school’s administration, other clubs, and the student body.
Vice-President
- Reports to the President.
- Assists the President to perform the duties necessary to manage daily chapter activities.
- Responsible for coordinating all chapter fundraising events.
- Assists in coordinating efforts to convert graduating SACA members to full ACA members.
- Attend national meetings and represent your chapter as the Alternate Delegate at the HOD SACA National Business Meeting.
- Act as the chapter parliamentarian to make certain that your chapter abides by the National SACA By-Laws and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assist the President in coordinating chapter’s monthly chapter report.
- Perform additional duties as requested by Chapter President and National SACA Officers.
- Maintain a professional relationship between chapter and the school’s administration, other clubs, and the student body.
Legislative Representative
- Reports to the President.
- Assists the President to perform the duties necessary to manage daily chapter activities.
- Attends national meetings and represent your chapter as the Alternate Delegate at the NCLC SACA National Business Meeting.
- Maintains contact with the National Legislative Chair and National Legislative Vice Chair to keep your chapter current on legislative issues.
- Coordinates all legislative events for your chapter.
- Communicates with State Chiropractic Association to stay current on statewide issues and coordinate lobbying efforts with the State.
- Coordinates chapter participation in NCLC:
- Schedule appointments with congressional offices.
- Distributes appointment schedules to National Legislative Chairs and Vice Legislative Chairs.
- Keep current on all legislative issues pertaining to NCLC.
- Participates on ACA legislative conference calls.
- Keep students informed on the Legislative efforts of ACA.
- Presents legislative report at each chapter meeting.
- Assists the President in coordinating chapter’s monthly chapter report.
- Performs additional duties as requested by Chapter President and National SACA Officers.
- Maintains a professional relationship between the chapter and the school’s administration, other clubs, and the student body.
Secretary
- Reports to the President
- Assists the President to perform the duties necessary to manage daily chapter activities.
- Maintains minutes for all chapter and officer meetings.
- Maintains archive of all chapter activities, attendance records for all meetings and e-mail contacts for all chapter members.
- Assists the President in coordinating chapter’s monthly chapter report.
- Performs additional duties as requested by Chapter President and National SACA Officers.
- Maintains a professional relationship between chapter and the school’s administration, other clubs, and the student body.
Treasurer
- Reports to the President.
- Assists the President to perform the duties necessary to manage daily chapter activities.
- Maintains bank account in compliance with the guidelines set forth in the Chapter Manual.
- Maintains all chapter financial records, financial reports, and send bi-annual reports to National SACA Officers.
- Assists the President in coordinating chapter’s Monthly Chapter Report.
